Mission Community Market–Open again!

The Mission Community Market reopens for the season on Thursday, April 12 (and each Thursday after). This year they’ve got new, fresh fruit, vegetable and meat vendors, Mercado Match (dollar for dollar matching), live music, art and youth programs.. Something for everyone!

Join Mayor Ed Lee, Supervisor Scott Wiener, San Francisco Recreation and Park Department General Manager Phil Ginsburg, Mrs. Helen Diller, San Francisco Parks Alliance, and Friends of Dolores Park Playground for the ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony of Helen Diller Playground at Mission Dolores Park. Refreshments. Music by Orange Sherbet. Come and celebrate!

We will elect officers to hold five positions:

1050 Valencia Project

Two important meetings regarding the project at 1050 Valencia (the former Spork building).

This week: Thursday, January 12 at 6:30pm, 10 Hill Street
This meeting will be at Risa’s house to discuss our position and
presentation as regards the new plans being reviewed for the
development previously at 1050 Valencia Street, now being submitted as
One Hill Street.

Next week: Tuesday, January 17 from 5:50pm, Mission Cultural Center, 2868 Mission Street, La Salita meeting room on the second floor.
This meeting is with the Architect, Stephen Antonaros, where he will
present his new design and plans for the Spork site. The meeting room
is reserved for three hours, so late-comers will still have time to
stop by.

Please try to attend both meetings if you can. If not both, please
come to the Tuesday meeting next week so that we can show that we are
an active community, paying attention to what’s happening in our
neighborhood.

The Liberty Hill Neighborhood Association invites you, your family and neighbors to our annual celebration of the holidays at the fabulous Victorian home of one of our Liberty Hill Historic District founders, John Barbey. Come by and meet your neighbors, find out what’s happening in our local community, and learn how you can get involved.

We invite everyone in the neighborhood to come celebrate with us. Holiday beverages, wine and food will be served. We look forward to seeing you there!

SF NERT City Drill this Saturday

Come out to Holly Park this Saturday (10/15) to learn about earthquake preparedness and how you can protect your family in the event of a major disaster. Neighborhood Emergency Response Teams will be conducting city-wide drills. Learn more about NERT or just come and play a “victim”. Click here for a flyer with more details.

Dolores Park Public Meeting

There will be another public meeting regarding Dolores Park this Thursday the 25th at 6:30 pm at Mission High (in the cafeteria, entrance is off of Dolores St.) At this meeting a very preliminary draft plan will be shown and discussed. Decisions on many important items will be made at this meeting, so those who use Dolores Park regularly should attend.
